Custom Skirts for Friends

A friend from my hometown reached out about a custom skirt. I was able to work within her budget so she could get not one, but TWO, custom skirts! A note to you guys, please don't be shy about asking about customs. The more expensive things in my shop are full of hours and hours of work but I can certainly pack a punch on a garment without all that labor by relying more on appliqué techniques and fabric arrangement. At the Haight Ashbury Street Fair this year, a dad came in to my booth and was drawn to this jacket for his teenage daughter. Favorite Rainbow Scarf Customer Photos

Back in the winter of 2010/2011 when I was living in Providence, I found myself with a bunch of random small balls of leftover yarn during a small blizzard. I got this idea to make a gradient prism cowl with all the scraps -- and the rest was history! Since then I have made a few hundred and shipped them all over the world (every continent except Africa!) and I have received a couple handfuls of customer appreciation photos.   Then I got tagged in these two and my entire month was made.
