Sacred Snakes Hand Painted & Embroidered Jean Jacket
Sacred Snakes Hand Painted & Embroidered Jean Jacket
One of a kind, hand painted and stitched Sacred Snakes art jacket.
Each stitch was hand embroidered in fine quality Egyptian cotton thread, through many hours of love, energy and intention. The patch in the middle was made by he Shipibo tribe in the Amazon, and brought back by a friend I made in a crystal shop on Haight Street. The Shipibo artisans are well known for depicting their Ayahuasca-based cosmology in the intricate geometric designs on their crafts. The snakes were hand painted and stitched by me and machine appliquéd for durability.
Size women's L/XL (depending on preferred fit). While the design is intentionally gender neutral, I only mention this as a "women's" garment because the shape has some female tailoring -- just an FYI to any dudes, etc who may be checking this out -- we're about that #totemicdenimforthegenderspectrum life. This is a well constructed, modern manufactured classic jean jacket purchased secondhand in great condition from a locally based small business in San Francisco—supporting both the economic and ecological climates on our planet!
Suggested care instructions: hand washing in cold water with mild soap is preferred for maximum longevity. Dry cleaning is an option as well, but as this is a 100% cotton jacket it can get wet, and I find that spot washing is great for maintaining the integrity of garments with heirloom potential.
Size women's L/XL.
